Circle of Love Inc. “Healing Hearts: Building Tomorrows” Campaign

Circle of Love Inc., a leading organization dedicated to combating domestic violence, is midway through its “Healing Hearts: Building Tomorrows” campaign and urgently seeks community support to raise the remaining $176,828 of its
$400,000 goal for the construction of the Family Wing & Teen Center. As of now, an inspiring $223,172 has already been raised, showcasing the community’s commitment to breaking the cycle of domestic violence
across five counties: Greene, Putnam, Baldwin, Morgan & Hancock.

The desperate need to expand to provide a safe home environment free from physical or emotional violence,
and services including a safe shelter, 24-hour hotline, counseling, legal advocacy, and more, is found in the
shocking and stark reality of these current statistics:
• 1 in 3 women in the United States will be assaulted by their partner.
• A woman is assaulted every 9 seconds.
• 1 in 4 dating teens are harassed through technology.
• 1 in 3 adolescents in the US is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional, or verbal abuse from a dating partner.
• 1 in 4 men in the US will be assaulted by their partner.
The statistics emphasize the critical need for Circle of Love’s mission and the “Healing Hearts: Building Tomorrows” campaign. Less than 40% of women actively seek help in domestic violence situations, making it imperative to provide comprehensive support structures.

The Family Wing & Teen Center project will include the establishment of an open-concept kitchen, a versatile multi-purpose living area, and a dedicated teen center. In addition, the facade of the existing facility will be renovated as portions of the exterior are currently deteriorating. These essential facilities will serve as lifelines for survivors,
equipping them with the tools and support needed to rebuild their lives.
